BREASTFEEDING PEER SUPPORTER - WIC PROGRAM

Carroll County General Health District Love breastfeeding and enjoy helping other moms? Come join our WIC team! We're looking for a part-time Breastfeeding Peer Supporter to provide encouragement, education, and real-life support to pregnant and breastfeeding WIC participants. What You'll Do Provide breastfeeding encouragement, education, and peer support. Connect with participants in person, by phone, and through other approved methods. Help moms work toward their breastfeeding goals and navigate common concerns. Recognize when additional help is needed and make appropriate referrals. Support breastfeeding events, outreach, and WIC activities. Document participant contacts and follow-up. Maintain confidentiality and follow WIC and agency requirements. Complete required WIC training. What We're Looking For Personal breastfeeding experience. Positive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach. Good communication and people skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Willingness to complete required training. WIC, breastfeeding support, community outreach, or bilingual experience is a plus! If you've been there and want to help another mom feel supported and confident , we'd love to have you on our team!
