Responsibilities Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for serving as an advocate and educator in creating treatment plans for orthodontic care and preparing/presenting financial arrangements. A successful treatment coordinator exhibits an efficient, knowledgeable, and positive countenance for every patient's experience.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to work in a kid-friendly environment Understand Chord's policy on working with health benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their specific benefits Work with the Doctor to diagnose and prepare treatment plans, assist the patient in prioritizing treatment, and present treatment fees and discuss financial arrangements with patients. Contact patients/parents to schedule treatment and/or discuss payment options for Medicaid approvals/denials, private insurance patients, and self-pay patients Notify patients of co-payments and co-payment requirements upon scheduling Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications What You'll Need:
1-2 years previous orthodontic experience A broad-based understanding of the orthodontic treatment process High school diploma or GED Must be available to travel between locations to meet operational needs Preferred, but not required: Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong computer skills/knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Familiarity with Cloud9 Experience working with various medical/dental insurance plans including Medicaid
