Job Description

Our skilled nursing facility is seeking a dependable and compassionate Patient Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments and other approved destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport residents using the facility vehicle Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle Properly load and secure manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and power chairs using the vehicle's wheelchair lift and securement system Verify that residents and mobility devices are safely secured before moving the vehicle Coordinate transportation schedules with nursing staff Accompany residents during appointments when required Maintain accurate transportation records Keep the facility vehicle clean, fueled, and ready for use Promptly report vehicle, scheduling, or resident-safety concerns Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA requirements Provide residents with courteous and respectful assistance
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and wheelchair lift Ability to properly secure manual wheelchairs and power chairs for transportation Dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable assisting older adults and individuals with disabilities Ability to safely push wheelchairs and assist residents with mobility CPR/First Aid certification preferred Previous healthcare, transportation, or long-term-care experience preferred The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, safety-focused, and committed to providing residents with a positive transportation experience.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
