Job Description

Schedule Full Time, Day Shift (80 hours biweekly)
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Rotation:
1 weekend a month/1 holiday a year General Summary Performs activities related to transportation of patients. Follows established safety guidelines and uses appropriate devices when transporting patients. WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital is supported by the nearby WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center, Lebanon's first and only integrated cancer center. WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital was one of several WellSpan Health hospitals honored by U.S. News & World Report with the High Performing recognition for 2022-23. WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital serves as the cornerstone of care for a total population of nearly 142,000 residents living in the rural and urban mix of Lebanon County. A full-service, acute-care hospital, with a 163 licensed bed capacity, admitting approximately 7,000 patients annually. We offer open heart procedures, comprehensive cardiac care, total joint replacements, private labor and delivery birthing suites, robotic surgery, and emergency care.
Essential Functions:
Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed. Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers using appropriate body mechanics to perform patient lifts. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Common Expectations:
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Performs dispatching duties such as receiving transport requests, dispatching available transporters based on established priorities, coordinating transports to minimize delays and maintaining appropriate documentation.
Qualifications Minimum Education:

Less than 1 year Relevant experience.
