Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter / Driver to join our team. This vital role involves safely and efficiently moving patients within facilities to ensure timely care and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment. Prior experience in hospital, nursing home, or non-emergent care transportation is preferred. Responsibilities Safely transport patients to and from various departments within the hospital, including emergency rooms, diagnostic imaging, and patient rooms. Assist patients with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers. Maintain clear communication with medical staff to coordinate patient movement and relay pertinent information. Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times during patient handling. Document transportation activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies. Provide compassionate care and support to patients during transit, addressing their needs as appropriate. Skills Prior experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles, including proper handling and mobility assistance. Experience with transport is a plus, demonstrating ability to manage patient needs. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations in a clinical environment.
