Experience:
~ Leading Water Fitness/Exercise or Aerobics Classes ~ Leading a variety of Group Classes ~ Yoga (any level) ~ Mat Pilates ~ Circuit Training ~ High Intensity Training (HIT) ~ Working with members/guests through Personal Training Facility Hours Weekdays, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Under the supervision of the Fitness Center Supervisor, is responsible for leading a group in an aerobics fitness class. The following tasks are essential for this position. Incumbents in this classification may not perform all of these tasks, or may perform similar related tasks not listed here. Conducts aerobic fitness classes. Enforces and follows all rules, regulations, and policies of the City of Duarte. Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facility to ensure safety. Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge of:
Appropriate safety precautions and procedures. Functions, policies, and procedures of relevant departments and/or operations.
Skill and Ability to:
Interpret and apply department policies and procedures. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and all levels of staff and management. Work independently, without direct supervision. Understand and follow verbal and written direction. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities could be considered qualifying. May be required to have valid California driver's license.
