Embark on a Journey of Impactful Adventure Develop and conduct personal training sessions for YMCA members. Who Are We? Employee Assistance Program Continuing education reimbursement, tuition discounts with Chestnut Hill College and Immaculata University Career development and paid training Unlimited referral bonus beginning at $300.00 What You'll Do Conduct personal training sessions and fitness assessments as scheduled and provide assistance in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous, and professional manner. Communicate with current and potential personal training clients in a timely fashion. Follow YMCA of Greater Brandywine guidelines for screening personal training clients. Report to scheduled sessions on time and be available to provide assistance. Ensure that proper exercise techniques are utilized by all members. Report any mechanical or breakdown problems immediately to supervisor and document on maintenance logbook. Encourage members to wipe down vinyl seating of strength and cardiovascular equipment and benches after use during orientation and training sessions as well as general use. Solicit members to participate in personal training program. Promote a healthy lifestyle. Understand, follow and enforce all wellness center and staff policies. Participate in special events and open houses throughout the year. Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications What You'll Need Possesses and maintains a personal training certification. Must be on the current list shown on the
NCCA/ICE
website Knowledge of basic and advanced exercise principles required Strong interest in health and fitness; working towards a bachelor's degree in exercise science or health-related preferred Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire Bilingual preferred Work Conditions and Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
