Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 359-bed, trauma level 1 teaching hospital seeking 2 night shift clinical pharmacists for a 13-week contract with potential temp-to-hire opportunity. This fast-paced, team-oriented pediatric medical center offers a progressive work environment equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Flexible scheduling is available within the 7 on/7 off, 12-hour night shift rotation (7pm-7am, Thursday through Wednesday).

7 days on / 7 days off nights; 12-hour shifts (7pm-7am); scheduling flexibility available
Contract Duration:
13 weeks, with temp-to-hire possibility Responsibilities Compound and dispense medications according to physicians' orders, ensuring accuracy and safety Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication use Respond to patient inquiries about medications and dosage instructions Verify dosages considering pediatric-specific factors such as weight, age, and diagnosis Identify and address drug therapy issues including allergies, interactions, and adverse reactions Evaluate and recommend appropriate, cost-effective therapies, including non-formulary drug assessments Maintain comprehensive and compliant pharmacy records adhering to regulatory standards Monitor patients to optimize therapeutic outcomes and actively participate in patient care teams Participate in educating patients, pharmacy staff, and students Conduct drug information research and assist with drug utilization reviews Manage medication ordering, inventory control, and supply substitution as necessary Qualifications & Desired Experience Licensed pharmacist in Arkansas (temporary license acceptable; candidates in process are encouraged to apply) Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred IV experience or certification preferred Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) designation preferred This position provides a dynamic opportunity to utilize clinical skills within a collaborative pediatric healthcare setting.
