Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to contribute within a dynamic, pediatric trauma and teaching hospital setting. This direct hire role is based in Hot Springs National Park, AR, at a state-of-the-art, 359-bed medical center known for pediatric care excellence and a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Shift Schedule:
8-hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Compound and dispense prescribed medications accurately per physician instructions Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication usage Provide medication guidance and dosage instructions to patients Ensure compliance with pharmacy data recording, regulatory, security, and hospital procedures Verify medication doses are appropriate based on diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems such as allergies and adverse reactions Evaluate use of non-formulary drugs and recommend cost-effective alternatives Support patient education, staff training, discharge planning, and drug information requests Manage medication orders, including supply coordination and inventory control
Desired Qualifications:
Current Arkansas pharmacist license At least 2 years of inpatient experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply IV Experience or IV Certification preferred Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) is a plus This role offers the chance to work at a nationally recognized pediatric facility with supportive, passionate colleagues and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
