We are a pharmacy focused on specialty and infusion medications. In this position, you will oversee pharmacy operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical services. Your expertise will drive compliance with regulatory requirements, optimize medication safety, and foster a patient-centered environment that promotes health and well-being. This is an opportunity for a motivated pharmacist ready to lead with passion and precision in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Duties Lead daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations including HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy. Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee medication dispensing processes, including specialty and infusion medications. Manage inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels of pharmaceuticals while minimizing waste and ensuring medication safety. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy plans, including pediatrics and critical care cases. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management strategies such as pain management, immunizations, and medication administration protocols. Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems to document patient care activities accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to IV insertion, aseptic technique, physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Facilitate ongoing staff training on topics like HIPAA compliance, immunizations, IV insertion techniques, and new pharmaceutical practices. Maintain detailed records of all pharmacy activities, incident reports, and audit logs to support quality assurance initiatives. Skills Extensive experience in pharmacy settings with a strong understanding of infusion medication. Critical care experience combined with clinical pharmacy expertise to manage complex medication therapies effectively. Completion of a pharmacy residency program with specialized training in hospital or clinical pharmacy practices. Proven ability in patient service delivery through comprehensive patient assessments and personalized care plans. Proficiency with pharmacy software platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication. Skilled in compounding medications safely using aseptic techniques; knowledgeable about IV infusion procedures and medication administration. Strong understanding of medical management principles including pain management strategies and immunization protocols. Familiarity with inventory management systems to ensure proper stock levels while adhering to safety standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams; leadership qualities for supervising staff effectively.
