Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician role is available in the Los Angeles area, transitioning to a part-time, PRN role after approximately one month. This position requires a local candidate licensed in California to support pharmacy operations in a hospital setting with 117 licensed beds and an average daily patient census of 44.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform IV compounding with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Manage medication filling and restocking using Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Participate in order entry through Paragon/Allscripts systems. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure seamless shift rotations and coverage during variable hours. Provide support during weekend shifts as scheduled.
Schedule:
Full-time (40 hours per week) for about 4 weeks, then transitioning to PRN. Shifts rotate with other technicians and include: 07:30 to 16:00 12:00 to 20:30 Saturday and Sunday shifts from 08:00 to 16:30
Qualifications:
Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required. Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy settings. Proficiency in IV compounding techniques. Experience working with Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Familiarity with Paragon or Allscripts order entry systems is preferred. Ability to work flexible shifts with a collaborative mindset.
