Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A contract-to-hire opportunity exists for a Pharmacist with specialized expertise in sterile compounding in Fort White, FL. This role offers a blend of hands-on sterile compounding, clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and leadership within a dynamic infusion pharmacy environment. The position supports patient care by ensuring the safe preparation and delivery of compounded sterile preparations while maintaining stringent quality and safety standards.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with accuracy. Perform and oversee sterile compounding operations adhering to USP and USP standards. Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure patient safety. Review medication profiles for potential safety issues including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and nurses. Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high performance and compliance. Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring protocols. Participate in quality assurance activities, medication safety initiatives, audits, and continuous process improvements. Document compounding, batch records, quality control, and regulatory compliance meticulously. Assist with inventory management, including controlled substances, and overall pharmacy operations. Contribute to pharmacy policy development, procedural updates, and staff training programs. Engage in staff meetings and professional conferences to stay current and contribute to team knowledge.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing. Minimum of one year experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding adhering to
USP , USP
, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations. Strong communication skills combined with proven leadership ability. This 13+ week contract-to-hire role is ideal for a pharmacist eager to apply their sterile compounding expertise in a responsible, regulatory-compliant setting while advancing their leadership capabilities.
