Must have current and active Florida Pharmacist license with no previous violations. Prior supervisory and retail experience required. Salary based on experience.
Duties:
Running day-to-day operations of the pharmacy Prepares and dispenses medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies. Assisting in the recruitment, scheduling and training of pharmacy staff, such as relief pharmacists and technicians Leading and coordinating bedside delivery programs Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration; maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. We require : A team player with attention to customers, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information. Ability to work in teams, providing leadership to enable timely completion of assigned work requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse customer group.
