The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical pharmacy, with experience in various settings including acute care and long-term care (LTC) pharmacy. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, conducting patient assessments, and ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in medication management, compounding medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough patient assessments to ensure appropriate medication therapy management. Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication counseling, immunizations, and pain management strategies. Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and inventory management. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques for safe medication administration. Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary medications and supplies. Oversee pharmacy technicians in their duties while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy. Requirements 7on/7off position, start on Wednesday at 4pm and end on Wed at 3am Valid pharmacist license in the state of Florida. Experience in LTC pharmacy or critical care preferred; pharmacy residency is a plus. Strong clinical pharmacy experience with knowledge of acute care settings. Proficiency in compounding medications and IV infusion techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems for effective patient documentation. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of pain management protocols and medication administration practices. Previous hospital experience is advantageous.
