Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A specialized opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding in Starke, FL. This role focuses on delivering high-quality sterile preparations while supporting clinical pharmacy services, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and providing leadership in a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting.
Schedule & Contract Details:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM 13+ weeks contract to hire
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately. Perform and supervise sterile compounding following USP and USP standards. Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and efficacy. Review medication profiles for safety concerns such as allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care. Mentor and oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence. Maintain stringent aseptic technique, cleanroom standards, and environmental monitoring protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety programs, audits, and continuous process improvements. Manage documentation related to compounding, batches, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Assist with inventory management, controlled substances handling, and daily pharmacy operations. Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff education. Engage in staff meetings and professional conferences to stay current with pharmacy practices.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing. Minimum of one year of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding adhering to
USP , USP
, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations. Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
