Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A community hospital with approximately 150 beds is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services on a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute your expertise in a hospital setting, supporting a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal medication management and patient care.
Location:
Lewiston, Idaho (travel required)
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoons working 8-hour shifts Potential option for 7-on/7-off with 10-hour day or afternoon shifts (preference for 8-hour shifts)
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding medication therapy Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication dosing and effectiveness Participate in clinical pharmacy activities to support patient outcomes
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active pharmacist license in Idaho or willingness and ability to obtain licensure promptly Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and collaborative skills Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to patient safety and quality care Ability to adapt within a fast-paced healthcare environment This is a contract role ideal for pharmacists ready to embrace a dynamic hospital setting and deliver high-quality pharmacy services.
