Job Description

OVERVIEW
The Pharmacist provides safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication therapy while supporting patients, families, and healthcare professionals through medication management, clinical consultation, and drug information. This role also provides daily leadership and oversight of pharmacy technicians and support staff, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
SCHEDULE
7 days on, 7 days off
SHIFT:
Monday-Friday, 9:30am-8pm; weekends and holidays, 6:30am-5pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Maintains professionalism and conducts self as a role model, serving as a resource for all health system partners. Is an expert staff pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience. Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program Hospital Pharmacy experience or residency preferred
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Wisconsin/Illinois Registered Pharmacist License or eligible
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpretive/analytical skills for pharmaceutical applications Strong accuracy skills Computer experience
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
Work requires a moderate level of independent judgment along with good interpretative and interpersonal skills with justification and accountability to Supervisor, Manager, and Director.
SUPERVISES
This position supervises technicians. This position is involved in the recruitment and orientation process and provides performance feedback and input for performance evaluation purposes. May implement coaching, counseling, and corrective action when needed.
PAY RANGE
