Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Pharmacist is needed for a contract position at a small, 25-bed hospital in rural Illinois. This role offers an opportunity to work in a close-knit healthcare environment where your expertise in clinical pharmacy and prescription management will directly impact patient care.

Macomb, IL Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and patient counseling Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacological treatments Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, dosages, and potential interactions Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy operations Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in clinical pharmacy and prescription dispensing Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in smaller healthcare settings Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety This contract role is ideal for professionals seeking hands-on experience in a rural hospital environment where every contribution is valued. Flexible to relocate for the assignment duration.
