Fridley, MN 55421 ration: 3+ Months contract with high potential extension or full-time pay rate $69hr Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team, providing exceptional pharmaceutical care within a dynamic hospital environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, and delivering comprehensive patient care. Your expertise in clinical pharmacy, medication management, and patient assessment will directly contribute to positive health outcomes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmacology and physiology, and possess a passion for improving patient well-being through precise medication therapy. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and monitor drug interactions Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans, especially in critical care, ICU, PICU, oncology, and emergency room settings Manage IV infusion preparations and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding in accordance with safety standards Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems to document medication orders, patient information, and treatment progress Provide patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and safety precautions Precept pharmacy residents and students to foster clinical pharmacy experience and professional growth Experience Prior practicing as a licensed pharmacist with post-residency experience in hospital or acute care settings Extensive hospital pharmacy experience including Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center, or similar high-acuity environments Proven expertise in critical care, ICU management, emergency room operations, and pain management protocols Hands-on experience with pharmacy information systems (PIS) and drug regulation compliance Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics across diverse specialties such as oncology, pediatrics, and acute pain management Strong background in pharmacy practice within managed care environments and hospital medicine units Experience with IV compounding, aseptic techniques, pharmacology principles, physiology knowledge, and anatomy fundamentals Ability to assess patients comprehensively using medical terminology understanding and patient service skills Skilled in medication administration protocols within hospital settings and familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms
Pay:
