Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a large hospital setting featuring over 300 beds and a Level III Trauma Center. Located in Longview, TX, this role offers a structured schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule:
4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts Option may be available for a blocked schedule (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care Apply pharmacokinetic principles to dosing decisions Support emergency medicine and neonatal medication management
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist license is required Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is highly preferred Experience with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems Knowledge in pharmacokinetic dosing and neonatal medications Background in emergency medicine pharmacy is a plus This contract to hire position provides the chance to work in a dynamic hospital with diverse clinical challenges, supported by state-of-the-art technology.
