Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire This position is for a Verification Pharmacist in Katy, TX, offering a 13-week contract to hire opportunity with an immediate start. The role operates primarily during weekday first shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend hours as needed, utilizing the Lifefile software system. Responsibilities include performing the final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions before dispensing, ensuring clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality standards. The pharmacist will verify prescription orders for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, patient information, drug interactions, and labeling requirements. Collaboration with sterile and non-sterile pharmacy technicians is essential to maintain efficient workflow and resolve prescription discrepancies or medication concerns. The role also involves providing clinical guidance and mentorship to pharmacy staff in compliance with federal and state regulations, including USP standards, DEA requirements, and HIPAA.
Key Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Minimum of 2 years of licensed pharmacist experience, preferably in closed-door or compounding pharmacy settings Familiarity with verifying prescriptions, reviewing medication orders, and ensuring patient safety Experience working within pharmacy environments adhering to USP , , , Texas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and HIPAA guidelines Ability to work comfortably in a high-volume setting This contract to hire role offers a chance to contribute to high-quality compounding pharmacy practices with potential for permanent placement.
