•$70.00/hr (starting base for candidates with 1 year of residency, scaling up based on years of experience)
Start Date:
ASAP Rx relief is seeking a dedicated, highly skilled Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join a top-tier healthcare team in the Midland, TX area. This full-time position offers competitive pay, impressive shift differentials, robust retirement benefits, and sign-on/relocation incentives.
Pay & Shift Differentials Base Pay:
$63.00
•$70.00/hr (commensurate with residency and experience) Night Differential (11:00 PM
•7:00 AM): +$5.00/hr
Weekend Differential:
+$3.00/hr

Loan Forgiveness:
Could be eligible for loan forgiveness. Key Responsibilities Participate in interdisciplinary rounding with critical care teams. Manage the Pharmacy Consult service (including vancomycin, warfarin, general anticoagulation, and TPNs). Utilize Vigilanz clinical surveillance software to monitor patient therapy and optimize outcomes. Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship rounds. Serve as an active member of the rapid response team. Precept PGY1 and PGY2 ED pharmacy residents, as well as pharmacy students. Drive personal and professional growth through participation in internal projects, facility committees, and multidisciplinary teams.
Position Requirements Licensure & Certifications:
Pharmacist License:
Current, active License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Preceptor License:
Texas State Board of Pharmacy Preceptor License must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Board Certification:
Specialty certification (e.g., BCPS, BCCCP) preferred. Candidates without certification must achieve Board Certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (or similar specialty certificate) within 3 years of hire.
Life Support:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required within 3 months of hire (for response team duties) and maintained throughout employment.
IV Certification:
Initial IV Room Certification or documentation of ACPE course completion must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Education & Experience:
Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency program OR over 3 years of experience working as a clinical pharmacy specialist in a hospital setting.
