Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 150-bed community hospital in Nacogdoches, TX. This facility operates on an 8-hour shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and utilizes Cerner and Omnicell systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations. Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies and patient care. Prepare and verify IV admixtures, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Texas Pharmacist license. Minimum of 1 year current inpatient pharmacy experience. Strong IV admixture skills. Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred.
