Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, ensuring medication safety, and supporting patient health outcomes across various clinical settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including critical care, trauma centers, and specialized units such as PICU and oncology, along with a strong foundation in pharmacology and clinical pharmacy practices. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy plans Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify treatment protocols based on pharmacotherapeutics principles Manage IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques to ensure safe medication administration Monitor drug interactions, contraindications, and patient responses to optimize therapeutic outcomes Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) Provide clinical pharmacy services in specialized areas such as critical care, emergency room, pediatrics, oncology, and pain management Precept pharmacy residents and students, fostering professional growth and knowledge transfer in hospital pharmacy practices Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance through rigorous drug regulation adherence and quality assurance procedures Support medication reconciliation processes during patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to enhance patient safety Skills Extensive knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to hospital medicine Proven experience practicing as a pharmacist within hospital settings, including ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), and post-residency practice Strong understanding of managed care principles and drug regulation policies Skilled in IV compounding, aseptic techniques, and sterile medication preparation Proficient with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and EMR/EHR platforms for accurate documentation and medication management Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to evaluate complex cases involving acute pain management, emergency care, pediatrics, or oncology patients Demonstrated ability to practice effective patient service while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance Experience precepting pharmacy students or residents is highly desirable Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations including medication administration protocols and hospital experience requirements Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Emergency Rooms while maintaining attention to detail Join our team where your expertise will directly influence patient outcomes through innovative pharmacy practices.
