Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws, including USP 797 standards for sterile compounding. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations. Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory control, medication storage, and ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication management plans tailored to individual patient needs. Administer immunizations and provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and health maintenance strategies. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a team environment focused on excellent patient service and safety. Maintain detailed documentation in Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other EMR systems while respecting clinical confidentiality policies. Stay current with drug regulation updates, healthcare compliance standards, and advances in clinical pharmacy practices such as pediatrics, pain management, and acute care. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate state pharmacy board. Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist in various settings such as hospital, LTC (Long-Term Care), community pharmacy or similar environments. Critical care experience or hospital experience highly preferred; LTC pharmacy experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems including

PIS, EMR/EHR

platforms, and inventory management tools. Demonstrated ability to perform compounding medications using aseptic techniques following USP 797 guidelines. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client communication and education. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as immunizations or IV infusion training are advantageous. Familiarity with drug regulation laws, HIPAA compliance, medical management protocols, and practicing within healthcare compliance standards.
