Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A significant leadership role is available for an experienced pharmacy executive to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a major regional health system in Monticello, FL. This position oversees a robust inpatient pharmacy operation within a 772-bed Level II Trauma Center, supported by a team of over 100 staff members and six direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all pharmacy services across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory divisions. Collaborate with C-suite executives and healthcare leaders to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality patient care delivery. Oversee 24/7 pharmacy operations, managing staffing, workflow, and resource allocation efficiently. Provide executive-level leadership to a diverse pharmacy team, fostering professional development and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist License and Florida Consultant Pharmacist License, or ability to obtain both promptly (start contingent upon licensure). Minimum of three years' experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting. At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy practice. PharmD degree strongly preferred. Board certification and pharmacy residency completion are strong pluses. Proven experience leading large pharmacy teams across multiple services. Knowledge of sterile compounding processes is preferred. Experience within Level I or II Trauma Center environments is advantageous.
Location:
Monticello, Florida This direct hire role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $205,000 to $220,000 annually, complemented by a $10,000 sign-on bonus and eligibility for an annual bonus.
