Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An immediate opening is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations in a hospital setting. This contract position is located in Great Falls, MT, with coverage needed as soon as possible for an anticipated duration of three or more months. The role will require taking on the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities to maintain smooth pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide management and leadership to a small pharmacy team of 2-3 pharmacist full-time equivalents per day. Oversee pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Lead ongoing projects including clean room renovation, automation system enhancements (Touchpoint), and financial analysis related to infusion center operations. Collaborate with outpatient clinics and surgical hospital departments to ensure integrated pharmacy support. Stabilize pharmacy operations, fostering a professional and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Montana pharmacy license required. Proven hospital pharmacy management experience. Background in outpatient clinic and surgical hospital pharmacy preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small pharmacy team. Experience with pharmacy automation systems, especially Touchpoint, is a plus. Competence in financial analysis and project management within pharmacy services.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM No weekend or on-call duties required. This contract opportunity offers the chance to lead and stabilize pharmacy operations during an important transition period.
