Interim Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

3-4+ months
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, day shift (40 hours/week, flexible) Are you an experienced pharmacy leader who thrives on stepping into a department, stabilizing operations, and setting a team up for long-term success? Rx relief has an immediate, high-impact interim opportunity for a Director of Pharmacy / PIC in Montana. You will be working at a dynamic surgical hospital equipped with a busy ED, an infusion center, a PACU, and a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD). While the pharmacy provides 24/7 coverage for the hospital's acute needs, this interim leadership role allows you to work a predictable, Monday-Friday daytime schedule with virtually no after-hours call. Your Impact:
Operational Leadership:
Step in as the DOP and designated PIC to provide a calming, steady presence for the staff during a time of transition.
Balanced Execution:
Seamlessly pivot between high-level administrative management and hands-on staffing support.
Survey Readiness:
Use your regulatory expertise to guide the pharmacy team through an upcoming annual DNV survey window.
Clinical Oversight:
Supervise and support the department's sterile compounding operations.
What You Bring:
Proven Leadership:
Solid background in inpatient hospital pharmacy management and a track record of successfully running a department.
Credentials:
Active, unrestricted Montana Pharmacist license.
Clinical & Technical Competence:
