Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A well-established independent retail pharmacy in Hatch, NM, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide coverage on August 6 and 7, 2026. This temporary opportunity offers a chance to work in a community-focused environment, managing daily dispensing operations and delivering top-quality patient care.

Location:

Hatch, New Mexico Schedule:

August 6 and August 7, 2026 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM daily

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions for approximately 170-200 prescriptions per day Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and health concerns Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and customer service Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations Utilize the Rx30 pharmacy system (experience preferred but not mandatory) Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Active and valid New Mexico pharmacist license in good standing Experience in retail or independent pharmacy settings preferred Ability to efficiently handle a moderately high prescription volume Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care Comfortable working independently while coordinating with support staff
