Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a 250-bed inpatient healthcare facility. This long-term contract position offers a chance to engage in varied pharmacy duties within a dynamic hospital setting. The role requires a candidate who can work variable afternoon shifts, including every other weekend, ensuring consistent pharmacy operations and patient care support.

Responsibilities include:

Performing inpatient pharmacy duties in compliance with hospital protocols Compounding sterile and non-sterile medications accurately and safely Restocking Pyxis units to maintain medication availability Handling incoming calls to the pharmacy and addressing inquiries efficiently Collaborating with pharmacists and clinical staff to support patient medication needs

Qualifications:

Valid California Pharmacy Technician license is required New graduates are encouraged to apply Prior training or experience with intravenous (IV) preparations is highly beneficial Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sterile compounding procedures Effective communication skills for coordinating within the pharmacy team

Schedule:

Variable days and afternoon shifts Every other weekend working rotation
