  • 35 hours/week.
The pharmacy is open from 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday and 9:00AM to 2:00PM on Saturdays. You would be required to work one to two Saturdays per month. This position is looking for a compounding pharmacy technician responsible for making non-sterile preparations such as suspensions, capsules, creams, and suppositories under direct supervision of a pharmacist. There are minimal patient interactions or phone calls. Prescription Compounding, Preparation, & Processing
  • On the job training available for motivated applicants who do not have compounding experience
  • Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of custom medications in accordance with Beacon Prescriptions policies and procedures, and in accordance with state regulations
  • Performs basic and intermediate level mathematical and pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications
  • Performs basic computer skills
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the compounding laboratory and equipment
