The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, such as LTC (Long-Term Care). This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care through accurate medication dispensing, compounding, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in pharmacy software systems, pharmaceutical calculations, and maintaining patient confidentiality while delivering exceptional patient service. Duties Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately across various pharmacy settings, including hospital and community pharmacies. Enter data meticulously into pharmacy software systems, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards and state and federal pharmacy laws. Support medication administration processes by preparing prescriptions, verifying drug interactions, and maintaining detailed records for patient safety. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related inquiries, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting medication reconciliation efforts. Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations, including drug regulation standards and hospital or healthcare facility policies. Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and maintaining proper storage conditions for medications. Qualifications Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in hospital or community settings; LTC or critical care experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and acute care practices. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards including state healthcare regulations and drug regulation laws. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all safety protocols related to aseptic technique and sterile compounding.
