Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire A certified Pharmacy Technician position is available to support sterile compounding operations, inventory management, quality assurance, and daily pharmacy workflow within a fast-paced infusion and specialty pharmacy setting. PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision following USP and USP standards for aseptic technique and hazardous compounding Maintain cleanroom procedures and ensure proper environmental monitoring Perform pharmacy calculations to accurately prepare and label compounded products Assist with packaging, shipment, and inventory control of infusion medications Manage compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance documentation Support expiration date monitoring and product rotation Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and prescription fulfillment Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, OSHA standards, and company policies Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives Deliver excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred Minimum of 1 year experience in sterile compounding, home infusion, hospital, or oncology pharmacy settings Knowledge of sterile compounding principles, USP and standards, and aseptic technique Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate documentation in a high-volume environment Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and collaboration with healthcare teams This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a challenge for certified pharmacy technicians seeking to advance their sterile compounding expertise in a supportive, high-quality environment.
