This role supports patients throughout the prescription process, from intake through pickup, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with prescription intake, data entry, and processing of new and refill orders Contact patients regarding prescription status, demographic updates, and insurance information Identify and process manufacturer copay cards and resolve insurance claim issues to minimize patient out-of-pocket costs Coordinate prior authorizations and follow up with prescribers and insurers as needed Count, measure, prepare, and label prescriptions in accordance with state and federal law Inspect drug supply and storage areas, manage inventory, and process medication returns Maintain accurate records and documentation as directed by the pharmacist Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Active registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmacy practice or a healthcare setting Working knowledge of pharmacy software, EMR systems, and basic Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand or sit for extended periods Valid Florida driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation Must pass Level II background check (http://info.flclearinghouse.com) and E-Verify employment eligibility (https://www.e-verify.gov)) Metro Healthy Communities is an equal opportunity employer.
