Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various pharmacy settings, including LTC (Long-Term Care). This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to support patient service and medication management. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques. Conduct intake processes for new patients, ensuring accurate medical history and medication reconciliation. Provide critical care support by managing medication administration for acute care patients. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare staff and document patient information. Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Support patient service initiatives by addressing inquiries and providing education on medication usage. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management. Requirements Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in LTC pharmacy. Familiarity with critical care processes and acute care environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practice. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
