Previous pharmacy experience is welcome but is not required. We are willing to provide hands-on training and help the right candidate learn the skills needed to succeed in a community pharmacy. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide friendly, professional customer service Enter prescription and patient information accurately Assist with filling and preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision Answer telephone calls and help direct patient questions Process insurance claims and resolve basic billing issues Operate the cash register and complete patient transactions Maintain organized prescription and inventory areas Assist with medication packaging, inventory, and other pharmacy services Protect patient privacy and follow pharmacy policies and procedures What We Are Looking For Dependable attendance and punctuality A positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer-service skills Basic computer and math skills Ability to remain organized while handling multiple tasks Ability to work well with pharmacists, technicians, patients, and other team members Ability to meet Indiana's requirements for a pharmacy technician or technician-in-training license What We Offer Hands-on pharmacy technician training Assistance navigating the technician licensing process A supportive, locally owned work environment Opportunities to learn prescription processing, insurance billing, medication packaging, inventory, and other pharmacy services Opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement as skills develop Why Join Mathes Pharmacy?
