Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient data, and ensuring compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse settings with a focus on LTC, Medication Syncronization, and patient care. Responsibilities Prepare, dispense, and label medications accurately following physician prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and maintain meticulous records for compliance purposes Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance guidelines Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to facilitate medication therapy management and optimize patient outcomes Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive medical information with professionalism and discretion Management of Medication Synchronization program, contacting patients, and following up about medication needs. Packaging and preparing long term care and compliance packaging for patients in need of special packaging requirements. Requirements Health care experience or previous pharmacy experience is preferred but training is available. Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and drug regulation standards Experience with pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and data management Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, drug laws, and federal pharmacy laws governing medication handling and distribution Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Willingness to work within a healthcare team to accomplish patient goals. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
