Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred for this position! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our IRONTON pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications to patients
• Prepare and package medications for distribution
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
• Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accuracy of patient profiles
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
• Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedure
• Process and input prescription information into pharmacy system
• Communicate with insurance companies to ensure paid claims

Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Prescription processing experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practice
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
