$23.14 - $32.26 (per hour) How you'll make an impact in this role:
Financial Clearance & Authorization Management:
Execute end-to-end financial clearance by performing clinical intake, rigorous benefit verification, and insurance eligibility tracking. This includes initiating prior authorization requests through payer portals (e.g., Availity, Evicore) and maintaining oversight of expiration timelines to prevent lapses in care.
Clinical Liaison & Documentation:
Serve as the key liaison between patients, providers, and payers to validate medical necessity and secure substantiation, such as Letters of Medical Necessity, in alignment with NCCN guidelines.
Patient Financial Advocacy:
Coordinate with Patient Assistance teams to identify co-pay cards, grants, or "free drug" programs and generate "Good Faith Estimates" for patients.
Operational Workflow Oversight:
Manage electronic and paper intake work queues using "First-In, First-Out" integrity while escalating urgent requests according to national SOPs. What minimum qualifications you'll need: Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
One or more of the following required: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need: Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient access, pharmacy billing, or prior authorizations. Experience with oncology or specialty infusion authorizations, J-code billing, and Buy & Bill vs. White Bagging workflows. Life at
