Job Description

Header Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Experienced Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications across various settings, including hospital, community, and specialty pharmacy environments. Your proficiency in pharmaceutical calculations, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and adherence to regulatory standards will ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your critical care and LTC pharmacy experience while advancing your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV infusion compounding and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and accurate medication delivery. Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and maintain meticulous records for compliance with pharmaceutical regulations. Support patient service initiatives by providing medication information, answering queries, and ensuring confidentiality of patient data. Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including drug regulation standards. Conduct pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy, especially in acute care and critical care settings. Ensure compliance with hospital or community pharmacy protocols related to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and medical terminology. Participate in medication administration processes, including drug regimen reviews and patient education on pharmacological therapies. Experience Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy environments. Strong background in pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation standards, and medical terminology. Experience with pharmacy software systems for data entry, inventory management, and patient record keeping. Prior exposure to critical care or acute care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws governing medication dispensing and patient confidentiality. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams. Pay:
$7.25 - $16.00 per hour
