Job Summary We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and pharmaceutical services. In this role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Duties Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately following physician orders and pharmacy protocols Compound sterile and non-sterile medications, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques Maintain meticulous data entry of patient information, medication records, and inventory management using pharmacy software systems Assist with medication reconciliation, intake, and patient service activities in various settings such as hospital or community pharmacies Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation laws and federal/state healthcare regulations Support medication administration processes while adhering to pharmacological medical terminology and hospital policies Perform pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy and compounding procedures Handle drug inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and expiration tracking Maintain sterile IV admixture procedures with proper aseptic technique and sterile compounding practices Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Requirements Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy environments preferred Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation laws, and medical terminology Experience with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management Proficiency in IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding, and aseptic techniques Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is desirable Familiarity with hospital or healthcare setting protocols including pharmaceutical regulatory compliance Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws governing medication dispensing and patient privacy Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medication preparation and documentation Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining high standards of patient care If you are a dedicated professional eager to advance your career in pharmacy services while making a meaningful difference in patient health outcomes, we encourage you to apply today.
