As a Pharmacy Technician with Marc's Pharmacy, you are responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in serving our patients and maintaining the Pharmacy department. In order to be able to properly serve our patients and to assist the Pharmacist you will be required to be qualified within your first year through the Marc's Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully complete the Marc's Pharmacy Technician Training & Certification Program. This on-the-job program is designed and provided by Marc's. You are expected to successfully complete the program within 1 year of your date of hire or promotion into the Pharmacy. Successful completion of the Program is defined as a passing grade on the Marc's Pharmacy Technician Exam. Perform computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution. Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions. Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory where permitted by state law. Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer and prescription data into the computer system. Maintain the Pharmacy by keeping it orderly and clean. Assist in restocking shelves. Assist the Pharmacist with the Medication Therapy Management. Able to work a schedule that may be subject to change in order to meet business needs. Follow company dress code policy and represent Marc's Pharmacy with high standards. Perform other related duties as assigned. Perform miscellaneous manual functions in the store.
