Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support a 300-bed children's hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The position offers a contract duration of 13 weeks with the potential for variable shifts, making it suitable for candidates who are flexible and ready to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks. Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy. Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care. Utilize EPIC information technology systems for documentation and communication.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid PA pharmacist license required. Previous hospital pharmacy experience or completion of a residency preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient safety protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Position based in Pittsburgh, PA.
