Job Description

Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required License
  • Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration/license required Preferred License
  • Successful completion of IV Technician training programRequired Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Inventory control experience
  • Ability to follow HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 poundsPreferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • Prior IV admixture experience
  • Previous sterile compounding experience
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Home infusion pharmacy experience
  • Previous pharmacy experience
  • At least one year of hospital or home infusion experienceIV Pharmacy Technician - Infusion Compounding Specialist Overview
  • Responsible for supporting infusion pharmacy operations through sterile compounding and preparation of infusion therapies
  • Performs pharmaceutical infusion compounding activities while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards
  • Maintains cleanroom sanitation and ensures proper environmental controls are followed
  • Performs sanitation, maintenance, tracking, and monitoring of infusion-related equipment
  • Supports pharmacy inventory management and inventory control activities
  • Participates in pharmacy quality assurance, quality control, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintains compliance with HIPAA requirements and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensures accurate preparation and handling of infusion medications and supplies
  • Works closely with pharmacists and pharmacy team members to support safe and effective medication dispensing
  • Maintains documentation and follows established pharmacy procedures and protocols
  • Requires strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and commitment to patient safety
  • Operates within a regulated healthcare environment while adhering to sterile compounding best practicesJob Duties
  • Perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding activities
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Maintain and sanitize cleanroom environments
  • Perform sanitation and maintenance of infusion equipment
  • Track and monitor infusion equipment usage
  • Participate in pharmacy quality control activities
  • Support pharmacy performance improvement initiatives
  • Perform pharmacy inventory control functions
  • Follow HIPAA requirements and pharmacy compliance standards
  • Assist with dispensing-related pharmacy activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Perform additional pharmacy duties as assigned
