Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in San Angelo, TX. This 13-week assignment involves working closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate medication preparation while maintaining high standards of pharmacy compliance and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions in line with company policies and state regulations. Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages. Label and package medications properly. Participate in documenting and reporting medication-related incidents to maintain patient safety. Clean and sanitize pharmacy work surfaces and equipment, including laminar flow hoods. Inspect pharmacy equipment and report any malfunctions or defects promptly. Maintain accurate pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning records. Support general pharmacy organization and compliance efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a pharmacy technician. Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas. Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). IV Certification is required.
