Duties Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly and empathetically Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples following proper protocols for safety and accuracy Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as commercial driver exams, EKGs, spirometry, vision screenings, prior authorizations and referrals. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical records, and ICD coding Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient intake processes, and maintaining organized medical documentation Conduct basic physiology assessments and assist with patient education on medications and treatment plans Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment Qualifications Proven experience in medical assisting with a focus on primary care.
