Allied Health Description The Adjunct Faculty Phlebotomy will work closely with the Coordinator to teach courses in the MAS program. Examples of Duties Must demonstrate teaching skills by selecting and implementing instructional strategies for teaching, and assessing student achievement of the learning objectives of the program. Teaching experience Phlebotomy; Teaching faculty will: Meet with courses and laboratories at scheduled times. Instruct, advise, consult with and evaluate the performance of enrolled students. Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, course reference/bibliography, assignments, tests, and other course materials. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and/or other documentation as required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of an AAS degree in related field. Current state licensure and/or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least three 3-5 years' experience in teaching on a college level and affiliated with an accredited PHB program. Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula on a program and course level. Excellent technology and classroom management skills.
STATUS/SALARY
This is a regular adjunct faculty position with salary to be determined by the adjunct faculty union contract.
