Northwest Labs and RSL Medical Marketing is seeking a dependable and skilled Phlebotomist to join the team at a clinic in Southgate, MI. You will be responsible for running a genetic testing protocol in the office, involving pre-screening patients, collecting oral samples, and preparing the samples for the lab. Occasionally responsible for drawing blood from patients, preparing blood and toxicology specimens for medical testing, and ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Educating patients on genetic testing as ordered by the physician Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients. Label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols. Verify patient information and maintain accurate records of procedures performed. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sterile work environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and processing.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic laboratory procedures. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
