Description Position Overview Dynamic Core PT is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Work Environment Located in the picturesque Pagosa Springs, Colorado, our outpatient clinic offers a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. We believe in transparency and teamwork, providing a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. As an onsite therapist, you will engage directly with our patients, utilizing modern treatment equipment and electronic medical records (EMRs) to enhance workflow efficiency. Each team member has the flexibility to manage their schedule and participate actively in patient assignments, fostering a sense of ownership and community within our staff. Key Responsibilities Administer thorough evaluations to assess the physical abilities of patients, and develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and rehabilitation goals. Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and application of modalities to aid recovery and improve mobility. Monitor and record patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes and ensure effective recovery. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, communicating effectively with physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists for a holistic approach to patient care. Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic techniques, at-home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention. Implement safety measures and fall prevention initiatives within the assisted living community to protect patients from injuries. Stay abreast of advances in physical therapy practices by participating in continuing education opportunities and training sessions. Uphold ethical standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality and a commitment to providing the highest quality of therapy services. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, serving clients who often face complex age-related challenges. You will be pivotal in addressing conditions such as arthritis, post-surgical rehabilitation, balance disorders, and chronic pain. This role requires an understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly, fostering a caring environment where patients feel valued and empowered to take charge of their health. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university is required. Additional education, such as a Doctorate or Master's degree, is preferable. An active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Colorado. Excellence in communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices. A commitment to applying evidence-based therapeutic practices to enhance patient outcomes. A patient-centered focus that prioritizes individual care and independence. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, although new graduates are encouraged to apply as additional training will be provided. Knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from
USD 100,000
to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
