Pelvic Health Physical Therapist Full Time | Jacksonville, FL | Samson Strength & Performance PT We are a cash-based Performance Physical Therapy clinic looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, highly skilled Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our team.
If you would enjoy:
Spending a full hour, one-on-one with each patient Seeing only 6-8 patients per day (max of 30 patients in one week) Having significantly less paperwork and administrative burden than the average in-network PT clinic Treating women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, midlife, and beyond Helping change the way women think about pelvic health, strength, and physical activity Working with a combination of pelvic health and orthopedic patients Using hands-on treatment, exercise, strength training, and education to help people stay active for life Building genuine relationships with your patients and becoming their lifelong guide to health and movement Helping grow women's health services within a woman-owned physical therapy practice Building relationships with local gyms, fitness professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations Getting involved in marketing, community outreach, workshops, and educational events Having an active role in growing a small business rather than simply treating patients and leaving at the end of the day This could be the perfect position for you! The Position This is a full-time Physical Therapist position with approximately 25-30 hours of patient care and 5-10 hours of marketing, community outreach, and business development each week. Marketing and community outreach are a core part of this position. This is not a traditional "treat your patients and leave" PT role. We are looking for a clinician who wants to become an important part of the Samson community, develop relationships outside of the clinic, educate the community about physical therapy and pelvic health, and help us grow our services. You must be a Florida-licensed Physical Therapist to apply. A Board Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) certification is preferred but not required. About Samson Strength & Performance PT Samson Strength & Performance PT is a cash-based, out-of-network physical therapy practice in Jacksonville, FL. We specialize in helping athletes and active adults stay strong, recover from injury, and continue doing the things they love. Our clinical approach combines hands-on treatment, individualized exercise, strength training, education, and performance-based rehabilitation. We believe physical therapy should be about much more than treating pain. Our goal is to help people understand their bodies, build confidence, and stay active for life. We are also a woman-owned business with a growing focus on women's health and women-focused services. Our services include pelvic health physical therapy, pregnancy and postpartum care, and strength and wellness programming designed to help women stay strong and active throughout every stage of life. Our clinic population is diverse. You will work with women and men ranging from recreational athletes and weekend warriors to highly driven professionals, parents, and active adults who simply want to continue doing the things they love. Because we are a cash-based practice and do not directly market to orthopedic surgeons, we do not see a large volume of post-operative rehabilitation. Our practice is centered much more around active adults, athletes, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, pelvic health, performance, and helping people stay active. Clinical Expectations We are hiring a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist who is also comfortable treating orthopedic patients. Pelvic health and women's health will be an important focus of this position, but you should be comfortable treating a roughly 50/50 mix of pelvic health and orthopedic patients as your caseload develops. You do not need to be an expert orthopedic or performance physical therapist when you join Samson. We are much more interested in finding a strong pelvic health clinician who is curious, coachable, and excited to continue developing their orthopedic and performance skill set. We will support you in that growth. Our ideal clinician is confident in pelvic health, compassionate with patients, and interested in learning how to incorporate strength training, exercise, manual therapy, and performance-based rehabilitation into care for both pelvic and orthopedic patients. You should be excited about working with women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, midlife, and beyond, while also being willing to treat active adults and athletes with common orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Experience or interest in the following is a plus: Pelvic health physical therapy Pregnancy and postpartum care Women's health Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Strength training CrossFit Olympic weightlifting Running Sports performance Manual therapy Dry needling Personal training or strength coaching A Board Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) certification is preferred but not required. CMTPT Dry Needling certification is preferred, but willingness to become certified is all that is required. Personal training or coaching experience and credentials are also preferred but not required. If you are passionate about pelvic health and women's health, but also want to become a more well-rounded orthopedic and performance clinician, this could be a great fit for you. What Makes Samson Different At Samson, you will have the time and freedom to actually practice physical therapy the way you believe it should be practiced. You will typically see 6-8 patients per day , with approximately one hour dedicated to each patient. You will not spend your day trying to squeeze a patient into a 30-minute appointment while completing an endless stream of insurance documentation. Instead, you will have the opportunity to listen, assess, treat, coach, educate, and build a relationship with each person who walks through our doors. We also provide ongoing wellness and maintenance services and semi-private personal training, allowing our clinicians to continue working with clients long after their initial episode of care has ended. Our Values Our values are an important part of how we operate at Samson. We are looking for someone who doesn't just agree with these values on paper, but genuinely wants to work in an environment built around them. Client Experience First Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. We want every person who interacts with Samson to feel welcomed, listened to, valued, and cared for. Extreme Ownership We take responsibility for our work, our patients, and the success of the team. When something doesn't go as planned, we focus on finding a solution rather than finding someone to blame. Fostering Growth We believe great clinicians never stop learning. We want our team members to grow clinically, professionally, and personally. Company Wellness We believe a healthy company starts with healthy people. We want Samson to be a place where our team can do excellent work while maintaining a healthy and sustainable life outside of work. Be the Friendliest Person in the Room We want Samson to be known as the friendliest physical therapy practice around. Marketing & Community Outreach This is an important part of the position and should not be overlooked. You will spend approximately 5-10 hours each week helping Samson build relationships and grow within our community.
This may include:
Building relationships with local gyms, coaches, personal trainers, healthcare providers, and other potential referral sources Developing relationships with organizations and businesses that serve women Attending local fitness, athletic, and community events Presenting workshops and seminars at gyms, businesses, and community organizations Educating local professionals and the public about pelvic health, women's health, orthopedic physical therapy, strength training, and staying active Creating educational content for social media Participating in social media conversations and connecting with potential referral sources Helping develop relationships with local fitness professionals and women's health providers Identifying new opportunities for Samson to serve the community Helping develop new programs and services based on the needs of our community Representing Samson professionally and authentically outside of the clinic We don't expect you to be a professional marketer when you walk through the door. We do expect you to be comfortable talking to people, building relationships, educating others, and taking initiative. If the thought of walking into a local gym, introducing yourself to a coach, teaching a workshop, or connecting with a local women's health professional sounds exciting rather than terrifying, you'll probably enjoy this part of the job.
